crackheads screamin' through the night
the ambulance symphony plays for me

the state building down the street
mothership for the meek
days turn to weeks while the buildings creek

corporate store on the corner
busy people move their feet
the wind blows through the window
this room is empty and bleak
the cars honk, the traffic is thick
a ragged madman throws a fit
the lights are plugged in, but no one flips the switch

doesn't everyone want to be loved by somebody
what happens to those who never find it?
some of us are bound to fall, to never hear the call

what do they do, where do they go?
